Kansas City Chiefs Confirm Alleged Abuse Allegations Involving Wide Receiver the Athlete
The Kansas City Chiefs issued a statement on Wednesday evening indicating they are aware of domestic violence allegations circulated in online accounts by a former girlfriend of wide receiver Rashee Rice and were in contact with the league office.
The team did not mention the player specifically in their announcement and stated they would have “nothing more to add at this time”.

The woman, who also did not mention the athlete directly, posted a set of images on social media that seemed to depict indicators of bodily harm. Jones did say the person involved was the parent of her kids, and it is known she has kids with the football player, whom the team selected in the 2023 draft.
Police Reports Reportedly Not on File
No police reports were on file in Overland Park, Kansas where the incident is said to have taken place.
Rice's Recent Off-Field Troubles
The receiver was absent for the first six games of this NFL campaign due to an NFL suspension for his involvement in instigating a multi-vehicle accident on a Texas roadway that resulted in several individuals hurt. He was given a month of incarceration and five years’ probation after pleading guilty to serious offenses.
Statistically, he concluded the season with 53 catches for 571 receiving yards and five TDs as the Kansas City finished with a losing record and failed to qualify for the postseason for the first occasion in a decade.
