English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts sensation Luke Littler and cricket star Davina Perrin have been shortlisted for the 2025 Young Sports Personality of the Year award.

The trio have been honoured for their remarkable achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang was instrumental as the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler secured the world title for the first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a record-breaking innings.

Littler claimed this honour in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The shortlisted athletes were unveiled on a popular morning radio program.

The champion will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on the 18th of December.

The ceremony will be broadcast from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her senior team debut, Agyemang played a crucial and game-changing role in England's run to winning the Euros.

She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the quarter-final and semi-final.

These match-saving moments led to her being named the best young player at the Euros.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl trophy for the best young player in Europe.

She was also nominated for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been playing for Brighton on loan from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being on the shortlist for this honour is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I'm grateful to God and I'm appreciative of the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

The Darts Prodigy

Littler's 2025 began in sensational style as - while still 17 - he became the youngest darts world champion in history.

He secured a comprehensive triumph over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His later win at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth individual to complete the prestigious triple crown of major titles.

His success continued - his win in November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he climbed to world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the earliest achiever to do so, smashing the previous record.

"To receive a nomination for this award again is a big honour," stated Littler. "My victory in 2024 was a proud moment for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and burst into the spotlight with an unbelievable and unprecedented innings in August.

Her brilliant 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the shared third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm truly honoured to be shortlisted for the Young Sports Star award," expressed Perrin. "It means a great deal. I hope it motivates more young females to get into cricket."
